Introduction

These Event Terms of Competition (the “Terms”) set out the universal rules for all official competitions hosted by Vanguard Music Championship (“Vanguard”) and by our certified partners.

* They act as a baseline framework that every Vanguard event must follow.
* Individual events may publish additional rules on their event page (such as specific themes, deadlines, or formats).
* In case of overlap, the event-specific rules extend these Terms but may not override or contradict them.

By participating in any Vanguard-hosted event, you agree to abide by these Terms, the Promo License Agreement, and all event-specific rules.

1. Overview

These Terms govern participation in any competition hosted on the Vanguard Music Championship platform.

By submitting content or interacting with the platform during an event, participants agree to:

* These Terms,
* The Promo License Agreement, and
* Any event-specific and round-specific rules published on the official event page.

2. Eligibility

* Participation is open to individuals aged 16 or older, unless otherwise specified.
* Participants must create and submit their own original work.
* Use of copyrighted beats, samples, or lyrics without a proper license is strictly prohibited.

3. Submission Requirements

* Each event may set unique rules, deadlines, formats, and limits — outlined on the specific event page.
* Submissions may be disqualified if they:

* Exceed time limits,
* Contain explicit content without proper disclosure, or
* Violate community standards.
* Participants confirm that all submitted content complies with the Promo License Agreement.

4. Judging & Progression

* Judging criteria and progression logic are detailed on each event’s official page.
* Vanguard reserves the right to adjust scoring methods, deadlines, or round structures for technical or editorial reasons.
* All judging decisions are final.

5. Code of Conduct

Participants must maintain respect and professionalism at all times. Prohibited behavior includes:

* Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination,
* Plagiarism or submission of unlicensed material,
* Sabotage of other participants.

Violations will result in immediate disqualification. Vanguard reserves the right to remove offending content with or without prior notice.

6. Content Usage & Licensing

* By participating, you agree to the Promo License Agreement.
* Participants retain full ownership of their work.
* Vanguard receives a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use submitted works for promotional and editorial purposes.

7. Event-Specific Rules

Each event may include additional conditions, such as:

* Track length limits,
* Topic adherence,
* Round schedules,
* Reward structures,
* Submission formats.

These rules are published at the time of each event launch. Participation implies agreement.

8. Liability

* Vanguard provides its platform “as is” and makes no guarantees regarding exposure, feedback, or rewards.
* The Operator is not liable for:
* * Technical failures,
* * Third-party platform actions, or
* * Legal disputes resulting from unauthorized content.

9. Modification & Termination

* Vanguard may modify these Terms at any time; updates will be posted on the official site.
* Continued participation after modifications implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
* Vanguard may terminate or pause events at its discretion.
