Vanguard Music Championship — Official Battle Rules

1. Overview

The Vanguard Music Championship is the official flagship event of the Vanguard platform.
This tournament is both a demonstration of the platform’s capabilities and a community-building initiative.

Participation is open to all registered users of the Vanguard platform who agree to:

* Event Terms of Competition
* Promo License Agreement

By submitting a track, participants confirm their acceptance of these agreements.

2. Format

* Main Tournament:

* Begins with one Qualifying Round.
* Top 64 participants (based on judging scores) advance.
* These 64 are paired into 32 duels, progressing through knockout rounds until the final.

* Warm-up Contests:

* One-round Audio Contest and Video Contest.
* Separate from the main tournament, designed for warm-up and community engagement.
* Details and judging rules are published on their own event pages in the Event Catalog.

3. Rights & Licensing

* All rights to submitted works remain with the Artist.
* By participating, you grant Vanguard a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use your content for:
* * Promotion of the event,
* * Editorial features,
* * Community showcases.
* You remain free to monetize and publish your work independently.

4. Judging

Qualifying Round

* Each judge scores submissions from 0 to 5 points for key criteria.
* Total possible per track = up to 10 points.
* The 64 highest-scoring participants advance to knockout stages.

Knockout Rounds

* Judged by a professional panel using the 12-point system:
* * Lyrics — up to 5 points
* * Flow & Delivery — up to 5 points
* * Overall Impact — up to 2 points

Judging balances technical skill, originality, and emotional impact.

Warm-up Contests

* Judging criteria and scoring systems are detailed separately on the contest event pages.
* See Event Catalog for specifics.

5. Participation

* Submit your track within the deadlines specified on the event page.
* Respect the event structure: one Qualifying Round, followed by knockout rounds.
* Participation requires compliance with:
* * Vanguard Platform User Agreement
* * Event Terms of Competition
* * Promo License Agreement
